It's already been mentioned this week that my husband and I did a skit at Archon in St. Louis as Ten and Five.

Well, here are some pictures from both the skit and photo run as well as VIDEO OF THE SKIT!  Woohoo, right?  We won a workmanship award for Best Tailoring and a presentation award for Crowd Favorite.

I've finally finished my 'prototype' Six coat, and have made a few notes on where there's room for improvement. I will implement these notes for any future coats.

I have sewn together the lining in its entirety, and although one seam came undone when I tripped and threw out my arm to break my fall, it came out rather well. I also sewed the shoulder and side seams of the outer coat, meaning all that's left to do for my prototype is repair the lining seam, attach the sleeves, sew the lining to the outer coat, ( Read more... )

I am learning -gasp- tailoring! This one will be 80% Elizabeth's work and 20% mine, the next project I hope to reverse those numbers
